This robotic installation with responsive projection is as much an apparatus of art as it is a tool for music and an instrument of psychology and physics. Tautophone is a reference to the projective “auditory Rorschach” tests developed by psychologists Skinner, Rosenzweig, and Shakow in the 1930s and 1940s, while Curious here refers to the robot's motivation to explore its surroundings and to learn.
It is our pleasure to announce that for Vašulka Kitchen Brno 2025 residency program we selected media artist Cailean Finn.

The May weather will finally allow us to test our concerts outdoors, i.e. in the courtyard of the House of the Lords of Kunštát, which will allow us to listen to the specificities of the space, the reflection of sound waves, the echoes and crosstalk of the flamboyant Brno parties. For this occasion, we will welcome two duos, one French and the other Czech, devoted to the fusion of acoustic instruments with electronics mainly in the context of free improvisation, which will merge at the end of the concert programme into one big electro-acoustic chimera.
Květnové počasí nám konečně umožní vyzkoušet si koncertování venku, tedy na nádvoří Domu pánů z Kunštátu, kde si budeme moci poslechnout specifika prostoru, lámání zvukových vln, ozvěny a přeslechy bujarých brněnských večírků. K této příležitosti za námi přijedou dvě dua, jedno francouzské a jedno české, věnující se propojení akustických nástrojů s elektronikou převážně v kontextu volné improvizace, které se ke konci koncertního programu spojí do jedné velké elektro-akustické chiméry.
Brno má velkou lexikografickou tradici. Proč nezačít s hudebním atlasem světových postav, artefaktů a fenoménů z Brna? Jednotlivá hesla však nebudou textová, ale hudební, zvuková či audiovizuální.
Během této akce Hans W. Koch představí brněnského matematika a fyzika Kurta Gödela, Billy Roisz & Dieb13 uvede klasika moderní architektury Adolfa Loose a Gatot Danar Sulistiyanto vykreslí „brněnského šamana“ z období lovců mamutů, v jehož hrobě se našla nejstarší loutka na světě.
Brno has a great lexicographical tradition. Why not start with the music atlas of world characters, artifacts and phenomena from Brno?
During this event, Hans W. Koch will present mathematician and physicist from Brno, Kurt Gödel. Billy Roisz & Dieb13 will present Adolf Loos, a classic of modern architecture and Gatot Danar Sulistiyanto will "portray" Brno shaman.
We will sound the former penitentiary on Cejl Brno.
In various rooms and corridors, both compositions and older compositions will be heard, as well as improvisation and electroacoustic projects. Visitors can either listen to individual songs or experience an unusual collage of songs and sounds in a random context in the corridors of the building. Symbolically, by unlocking the cells, we will open the way to less known, forgotten or neglected artists.
Rozezvučíme bývalou káznici na Cejlu. V různých místnostech a na chodbách zazní jak objednané kompozice, tak starší skladby, ale též improvizace a elektroakustické projekty.
Návštěvníci mohou buď poslouchat jednotlivé skladby, nebo zažít neobvyklou koláž skladeb a zvuků v náhodných souvislostech v chodbách budovy. Symbolicky tak odemčením cel otevřeme cestu k umělcům méně známým, zapomenutým či opomíjeným. Znějící pomník se však začne postupně proměňovat v pulzující intermediální performanci, která vyvrcholí hudebním eventem s hlavním hvězdou Thomasem Ankersmitem.
