It is our pleasure to announce that for Vašulka Kitchen Brno 2025 residency program we selected media artist Cailean Finn.
The decision was certainly not easy and we thank everyone else for their interest and the many excellent projects!
Cailean Finn is a media artist and creative technologist from Waterford, Ireland. His practice is centred around exploring the indosyncratic nature of the human-machine realtionship through an investigation of computational histories, practices, and technolgoies such as - creative Coding, artificial Intelligence, simulations, and embedded computing.
Cailean holds a BSc in Computer Science (2019), and a MA in Art & Technology (2022) from the University of Limerick, where he is currently pursuing his PhD in Media Art. His current research is focused on areas in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence/Life, and Cybernetics. Cailean is also a member of CONCEPTNULL, a community-based artist-led organisation, which runs a bi-monthly newsletter and hosts events with a focus on providing accessible platforms for the New Media Arts community in Ireland.

The members of the 2025 committee were Gajane Achverdjanová, Lloyd Dunn and Kryštof Pátra who were considerning 50 applications.
