Artistic interpretation of data structures
Vašulka Kitchen Brno hosts this workshop as an accompanying program of the doctoral conference held in the frame of FaVU VUT Brno.
Data. What are data? Where do they originate from and how are they created? Who or what produces them? Who or what is the consumer of them? What can(not) data describe? What is the dimesion of contemporary digital data? What is the relationship between fine arts and data? Is it possible to work with data within the artistic practise? And if so, how? It is possible to perform simulation during the artistic practice? Does something like “data-driven art” exist? (for more information visithttp://datatata.info/workshop)
- to participate you should be:
- student or teacher in Art or IT disciplines
- to read two texs from requested literatury
- to send short letter and topic of the project, you would like to work on during the workshop
