Katrin Hochschuh & Adam Donovan: CURIOUS TAUTOPHONE – TENSOR FIELD ONTOLOGY

This robotic installation with responsive projection is as much an apparatus of art as it is a tool for music and an instrument of psychology and physics. Tautophone is a reference to the projective “auditory Rorschach” tests developed by psychologists Skinner, Rosenzweig, and Shakow in the 1930s and 1940s, while Curious here refers to the robot's motivation to explore its surroundings and to learn.

Koncert

Rouilleux & Fire Like Fire // Alternativa meets Vašulka Kitchen Brno

solo - duo - trio

A unique triple concert initiated by the Alternativa festival, where Cinder, Petr Vrba and Luboš Rezek met for the first time and a more permanent collaboration was established. The concert is also unique because the Alternativa festival is going beyond the borders of Prague for the first time with its concert series.

solo:
Luboš Rezek is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from the Czech republic, mainly known for his project/stage name Rouilleux. He focuses mostly on working with voice in various forms as well as on combining unconventional songwriting with more amorphous styles like drone, noise or ambient. The latest solo record The Fold also uses tools and principles from generative/aleatoric music for exploring a concept of ever-changing album. He is a member of Prague-based experimental label KLaNGundKRaCH and has been participating in various other projects with different musicians, e. g. No Pavarotti with Jan Klamm or WW/RLLX with Martin Sýkora.

duo:
Fire Like Fire is a collaboration between vocalist/composer Cinder and Czech improviser Petr Vrba. Cinder is the driving force behind the cult project Cindytalk, which evolved from unconventional goth into a more abstract sound and was signed to the influential label Editions Mego. She also appeared in the supergroup This Mortal Coil and in Becoming Animal alongside Massimo Pupillo. Vrba is an active figure on the Czech improvisation scene, both as a musician and organizer, unafraid of crossing genre boundaries—whether through the Alternativa Festival, the Prague Improvisation Orchestra, or bands like Banausoi, Poisonous Frequencies, and IQ+1. Their performances explore dark, massive electronic textures layered with Cinder’s majestic vocals and Vrba’s lyrical trumpet. They describe their music as a sonic psychogeography of hostile terrain—expect anything but surface-level sound.
