It is our pleasure to announce that for Vašulka Kitchen Brno 2024 residency program we selected artistic duo Oliver Torr and Simon Kounovsky aka Axonbody. Together they develop a collaborative art project AXONTORR.
Through intensive collaborative research, Axonbody and Oliver Torr keep implementing new techniques, experiments and compositions into their live act - presenting a strobe like cross section of their collaborative and individual work that reflects not only specific moments of their shared visions, but years of obsessive experimentation with software, hardware, instrument and sound design.
During their VKB residency, they plan to further develop their ongoing AXONTORR project and explore its potential across various artistic dimensions that they are involved in. They aim to create a more subdued experimental performance, suitable for intimate sit-down settings or gallery environments, and to expand the repertoire of self-built tools and instruments that contribute to the evolving narrative of AXONTORR.
Oliver Torr is a multidisciplinary artist, composer, and sound designer. He draws on impulsive improvisation, technology, extreme ends of soniXx & composition. He has built instruments, been active in gallery environments, performance spaces, and has made music and sound design for various films // video art pieces.
